I’m back from the latest (and probably my last) EYP conference that was held in santralistanbul, which also happens to be my university; and it was truly a splendid five days for me. I’ve met so many amazing people all across Europe (including the UK, Serbia, Kosovo, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden) and I’ve get to know different personalities and perspectives. But what counts the most for me is that I’ve made so many amazing friends along the way. This conference was a bit more sentimental than the others for me since a) The venue was my university as I’ve just mentioned, and truth to be told, I don’t have that many of friends. But with these great people and the memories we shared at the venue, it’s safe to say that I’ll be looking for their faces during this semester; b) I finally dragged my two very best friends to be a part of EYP and get to share this experience with them; and c) This was probably my last EYP since I’ve been thinking of retiring for quite some time and what better way to say goodbye than organise a session at my own university?

En son (ve muhtemelen hayatımın en sonuncu) EYP konferansından döndüm, bu konferans aynı zamanda üniversitem olan santralistanbul kampüsünde gerçekleşti ve ben gerçekten birbirinden güzel beş gün geçirdim. Tüm Avrupa’dan (İngiltere, Sırbistan, Kosova, Yunanistan, Hollanda, İspanya, Fransa, Almanya, İsveç gibi ülkelerden) birbirinden harika insanla tanışma, farklı bakış açıları ve kişilikler inceleme fırsatı yakaladım. Fakat benim için en önemli olan şey, yolun sonunda birbirinden güzel arkadaşlıklar kurmuş olmam.

Bu konferans diğerlerinden daha duygusal bir yere sahip benim için çünkü, a) Az önce bahsettiğim gibi kendi üniversitemde gerçekleşti, ki doğruyu söylemem gerekirse burada fazla arkadaşım yok ve şimdi tüm sene boyunca bu konferanstaki yüzleri arayacağım; b) Sonunda en yakın iki arkadaşımı EYP’yi tatmaya ikna ettim ve bu deneyimi onlarla yaşayabildim ve c) Sanırım bu benim son EYP konferansımdı, zaten EYP’den emekli olmayı uzun bir zamandır düşünüyordum ve kendi üniversitemde böyle bir konferans organize ederek EYP kariyerimi sonlandırmak bana oldukça güzel geldi.
