Through My Lens: Praga

MID-EUROPE TOUR VOL. 2  Prague, or Praga as the Czechs say, is probably my favourite place in this trip that I had with my friend Verda. It didn’t have the lovely greens of Wien, nor the glamorous palaces of Budapest, but it had a life, a vibe that caught me starting from the first time I walked in its streets. Maybe it’s also because of the amazing people I’ve met there that made this city my particularly favourite one, but the citizens, the people really do have an impact of your thoughts on the city itself. Another reason would be the fact that I felt like an adult, with responsibilities, we took the public transport to get in the city centre through our stay because our hotel was a bit too far, again. It’s really easy if you know your way around the city, and after our first night, it’s safe to say that we definitely did. Oh and if you ever go to Prague one day, make sure that you pay a visit to their famous night club, The Double Trouble, the music there was the best, although there were some weird kids dancing on the floor… So all in all, I can honestly say that I’ve left a part of my heart in Prague!

ORTA-AVRUPA TURU VOL. 2  Prag, ya da Çeklerin dediği gibi Praga, sanırım Verda ile katıldığım bu turda gördüğüm ve en çok sevdiğim şehir oldu. Viyana’nın güzel yeşilliklerinden yoktu, Budapeşte’nin o muazzam saraylarından da, fakat bir canlılığı, bir ritmi vardı, sokaklarında ilk kez yürümeye başladığım andan itibaren beni yakalayan. Belki, Prag’ın favorimin olmasının bir sebebi de, oradayken tanıştığım harika insanlarıdır, insanları gerçekten bir şehir hakkında fikir sahibi olurken çok etkili oluyor. Bir başka nedeni de, kendimi bir yetişkin gibi hissetmemdi, sorumlulukları olan, otelimiz yine çok uzakta olduğu için toplu taşımayı kullanmamız gerekti. Aslında şehir hakkında bir fikriniz olduktan sonra ulaşım çok kolay, ve memnuniyetle söyleyebilirim ki, ilk gecemizden sonra oldukça iyi fikirlerimiz oluşmuştu bile. Oh, ve eğer bir gün Prag’a giderseniz, mutlaka onların ünlü gece kluplerinden Double Trouble adlı yeri ziyaret edin, her ne kadar pistte dans eden garip çocuklar olsa da, inanılmaz müzikleri var… Kısacası, kalbimin bir parçasını Prag’ta bıraktım diyebilirim!

This folk is Blake, who was our waiter in the Hardrock Cafe. He was definitely one of the most lively and sympathetic person that I’ve ever seen, it was lovely to have the little chats with him while he was running from one place to another, serving people. // Bu arkadaşın adı Blake, Hardrock Cafe’deyken bizim garsonluğumuzu o yaptı. Kendisi hayatımda gördüğüm en canlı ve sempatik insanlardan biriydi, insanlara yemeklerini götürmek için oradan oraya koşuştururken onunla minik sohbetler etmek gerçekten çok keyifliydi.
